Micke, Armon (16 JUN 1936 – 16 JAN 1970)

Armon Micke, 33, of Bloomington, Minn., died January 16, 1970 at Eitel Hospital in Minneapolis, following a sudden illness. A prayer liturgy was held at 8 p.m. on Monday at the McDevitt-Hauge Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday from the Incarnation Catholic Church in Minneapolis.

Mr. Micke was born June 16, 1936 in Stanley, Wisconsin. He graduated from Thorp High School and Wausau Vocational School. On July 8, 1957, he was married to the former Barbara Ferguson of Minneapolis.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara, and a son Mark; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Micke Sr. of Stanley, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Ray (Joanne) Stroinski of Thorp, and Mrs. Gary (Carol) McDermott of Wisconsin Rapids; two brothers, Wm. Jr. and Gerald of Stanley.

Attending the funeral of Armon Micke from the Thorp and Stanley areas were Mr. and Mrs. Wm, Micke Sr., Mrs. Wm. Micke Jr. and son Dean, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stroinski and Danny and Dawn, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Micke, Mr. and Mrs. Gary McDermott of Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Rob Benzschawel, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Benzschawel, Mrs. W.G. Vanderhyden, Miss Julie Burkhardt, Mrs. Bob Gulcynski, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Boie, Mr. and Mrs. Murnie Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Eslinger and Mr. Larry Thompson.

Others attending were: Mrs. Marian Culbert and Mrs. James Fisher of Eau Claire; Mrs. Dorothy Warner, Mrs. Catherine Harper, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Newbauer, and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Schultze of Milwaukee; Mrs. Joseph Micke of Owen; Mr. Ron Benzschawel of Stevens Point; Mrs. Jack Geving of New Richmond and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Smola of Chippewa Falls.
