Members of the 1852 Owen graduating class met for the first time at a reunion, which was held at the St. Bernard school cafeteria in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). A cocktail reception as held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., at which time a delicious dinner was served. After this, the master of ceremony, Jim Stephens, read the class will and he then introduced Loretta (Thorson) Mills, who read the class prophecy. Various prizes were awarded to those who came the farthest distance, Pearl (Krarup) Hanson from waterloo, Iowa, and Eldon Grube from Des Plaines, Ill.; Annette (Rossman) Guden with the most children, and Bill Roberson and Glenn Fischer for being the remaining bachelors of the class. A lovely booklet containing the resume of each graduate was handed out to each. Other prizes were also awarded.

After renewing acquaintances and reminiscing, the class decided to hold another reunion in five years. The committee in charge is: Loretta and Don Mills, Jack Larsen, Ken Strohkirch, Louis Greschner and Jim Stephens.
