Rohland, Janis Michelle (7 JUN 1969)

On Saturday, June 7, 1969, at 7:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee, Janis Michelle Rohland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Rohland, became the bride of Allan Missling, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Missling, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.). Rev. Leroy Urman performed the ceremony.

As the bride approached the altar she wore a floor length gown which was styled of candlelight nylon sheer with a Venice lace empire bodice and short sleeves. Venice lace motifs enriched the front of the sheer skirt and a detachable train swept gracefully from the empire waistline. For her bouquet she chose yellow roses and white daisies.

Serving her sister as the maid of honor was Miss Marilyn Rohland of Withee, and the bridesmaids were Miss Linda Steffen, Greenwood, Sharon Heideman, and Miss Lois Rohland, Withee. They chose floor length dresses of aqua chiffon. Elbow length sleeves and scoop neckline complemented the lace empire styled bodices. Soft bows of satin accented the shoulders, highlighting the back fullness. Each of the girls carried a yellow long stemmed rose.

Robert Missling, Shawano, served his brother as best man, and Jerrold Rohland, Peter Mercier of Milwaukee, and Bill Nelson of Owen were the groomsmen.

Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church parlors and a dance was held at the American Legion Hall in Owen.

Mrs. Missling graduated from the Owen-Withee High School in 1966 and is present a Senior at WSU, Eau Claire. Her husband graduated from the same high school in 1964 and is manager of the Citgo Service Station in Owen.

The couple will make their home at 318 Second Street, Owen.
