Kaleta, Peter (18 JUL 1898 – 10 APR 1969)

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 12, 1969 for Peter Kaleta, 70, who passed away April 10, 1969 at St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield, of a lingering illness. Funeral services were conducted from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, Owen, with Rev. Galecki of Milwaukee officiating, with burial being made at Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Serving as pallbearers were Walter Olszewski, Adam Olszewski Jr., Emil Rohland, Julius Rohland, Edward Kowalski and Edward Baum.

He was born July 18, 1898 in Poland and came to Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1933. He then left to work in Chicago in 1940, and came back to Withee in 1957. His farm was north of Withee in the Town of Hixon. He never married.

Survivors are a half-sister, Bernice Kowalski of Harvey, Ill.; a brother, Walter Kaleta and a half-brother, John Kaleta, all of Harvey, Ill.
