Henkel, Raymond A. (25 AUG 1973 - 8 JUL 2017)

Raymond A. Henkel, age 43, of Medford, passed away unexpectedly at his home in the Township of Goodrich on July 8, 2017.

A Celebration of His Life will be held at 11 a.m. at Solberg Lake Park in Phillips on Monday, July 17, 2017. Rev. Teri Hanson is officiating.

Raymond was born on August 25, 1973, the son of Russell and Ann (Medina) Henkel in Norwich, Conn. He attended Plainfield School in Connecticut and graduated from Medford High School in 1992. Raymond played in the band, was active on the football team and played catcher on the baseball team while he was in high school. He was an associate member of the USSVI (United States Submarines Veterans). Raymond worked security for Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Ledyard, Conn. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool, golfing, shooting and riding his ATV.

In addition to his parents, Russell and Ann of Medford, Raymond is survived by his brother, Erick Henkel of Lake Charles, La.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Oscar and Margaret (Bergmann) Henkel, maternal grandparents, George and Janie (Oliver) Medina; an Aunt Laurie Goessl and an Uncle, George Medina.
