Kell, Charlotte Rae (14 SEP 1968)

Miss Charlotte Rae Kell, daughter of Mrs. Norman Kell, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and the late Norman Kell, and David Lynn Hatlestad, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hatlestad, Withee, were married at two o'clock Saturday afternoon, September 14, 1968, by Rev. LeRoy Urman, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee.

The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Roger Kell of Withee, during a ceremony which Mrs. Herman Rabska played the organ and Miss Sharon Heideman sang.

The bride wore a traditional white A-line lace over taffeta floor length gown with a chapel train and a four-tiered veil secured to an Alencon lace nose crown headpiece. She held a white Bible, complemented with red roses, a bow and streamers.

In the bridal parade were Miss Cheryl Kell, Withee, the maid of honor; Miss Lois Hatlestad and Mrs. Roger Kell, both of Withee, and Mrs. Norman Hatlestad, Medford, the bridesmaids; Cheryl Dettmering of Baraboo and Geraldine Wolfe, Wausau, junior bridesmaids, and Sheila Blumenstein, Owen, flower girl.

The maid of honor wore an A-line floor length nylon net over satin formal with a veiled crown headpiece, all in orchid. Miss Hatlestad's ensemble was in aqua. Mrs. Hatlestad's pink; Mrs. Kell's in yellow, and the junior bridesmaids in blue. Each carried an arrangement of white carnations and colored carnations with bows to match their dresses.

Other in the wedding party were Ron Kallio, Owen, best man; Bill Montag and Roger Kell, both of Withee; and Norman Hatlestad, Medford, groomsmen. Bryan Kell served as ring bearer.

Don Post, Wausau and Dallas Wuethrich, Greenwood, were ushers.

The bride's mother witnessed the ceremony wearing a blue lace dress with matching accessories, while the mother of the groom was attired in a dress of gold brocade with brown accessories.

The wedding dinner was served at St. John's Church, Withee, with the reception and dance taking place at the American Legion Hall in Owen.

Mrs. Hatlestad, a 1967 graduate of Owen-Withee High School, attended Wisconsin State University, Stevens Point, and has been employed by Marathon Battery of Wausau.

Her husband, who graduated from the same high school, in 1966 from Milwaukee Institute of Technology and presently is a mechanic for Withee Oil Company.

Following a northern Michigan honeymoon, the couple is making their home in Withee.
