Grech, Scott Richard (15 OCT 1968 - 27 MAY 2017)

Scott Richard Grech, 48, from Phillips, died at his home on Saturday, May 27, 2017. He was born in Barron, Wisconsin, on October 15, 1968. He was the son of Richard and Genevieve (Strobl-Stratil) Grech. He was a 1987 graduate of the Phillips High School. He was married to Christine Klepac and later divorced.

He was employed as a Field Service Technician by Jeld-Wen of Hawkins. He won Employee of the Year for his region in 2017. He was also a dedicated member of the Driftsplitters Snowmobile Club. In his free time he enjoyed: snowmobiling, ATVing, woodworking, watching movies and motorcycling, especially traveling cross country with his sons and friends. Scott was a loving, hilarious and genuine son, father and friend.

He is survived by his companion of 20 years, Sherry Schneidewent; by his mother and step-father Genevieve (Stanley) Stratil, in Catawba; by one son, Taylor (Kayla), in Green Bay, WI and by three stepsons, Jared (Tracy) Klepac, in Park Falls, WI, Jacob Schneidewent, in Phillips, and Nick Schneidewent, in Phillips; and also by many friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard and by his grandparents.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 1, at the Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips with Pastor Jonn Morrow of New Hope Baptist Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
