Baskets of peonies, roses and delphiniums decorated the altar of Trinity Lutheran church of Athens Saturday afternoon for the wedding of Miss Magdalena Hargraves, daughter of Mrs. Magdalene Hargraves, Athens, and Edwin Stauske, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Stauske, town of Johnson. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. A. Neunaber, pastor of the church.

The bride wore a gown of starched chiffon trimmed with point d’spirit and Alencon lace. Leg o’mutton sleeves ended in points over the wrists, and the billowing folds of the skirt, fell from the fitted midriff, into a long train. A cluster of pearlized orange blossoms held in place her finger-tip veil of silk illusion and carried a shower bouquet of roses and sweet peas.

Miss Agnes Hargraves, Milwaukee, attending her sister as maid of honor, wore a gown of blue starched chiffon with a bolero jacket of matching lace, and carried delphinium, carnations and roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Loretta Stauske, Two Rivers, a sister of the bridegroom, was attired in pink silk organdy and carried a similar bouquet.

Herbert Stauske, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man and Arnold Bhend, a cousin of the bride, was groomsman.

Sixty guests attended the reception and supper which followed at the home of the bride’s mother. A three-tiered wedding cake, lighted tapers and bowls of cut flowers decorated the tables.

Mr. Stauske and his bride will spend their honeymoon at the northern lakes and on their return will take up their residence with the bridegroom’s parents. They will be at home to friends after June 26.
