Spencer

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Ed Rue Thursday, April 25, a son.

Martin's saw mill completed its run for this season Monday.

Judge Miller and wife of Wausau were Spencer callers Thursday.

Miss Maud Welch went to Unity Thursday afternoon for a short visit with friends.

George Farrington spent a couple of days at Wausau last week attending a session of the County board.

Mrs. John Oleson and children of Unity have been spending the past week at the home of her brother, Earl Holmes.

Mrs. M. C. Blake was called to Marshfield Saturday by the serious illness of her daughter, Mrs. B. Downey's baby.

Mrs. Chas. Stoleman returned from her visit at Eau Claire, Her daughter, Mrs. Guy Blaisdell accompanied her.

Mrs. Lud Komers, who has been at the Marshfield hospital several weeks, returned home Monday and is improving rapidly.

Chas. Vanderhoof had the great toe on his right foot amputated one day last week as a result of having it frozen in the winter.

Friends of Mrs. K. Thompson gave her a very pleasant surprise party at her home Monday evening of last week in honor of her birthday.

Misses Ione and Gladys Artman of Marshfield visited Saturday and Sunday at the home of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Blake.

Miss Stewart stopped here Friday for a brief visit at the home of her uncle A. W. Stewart, while on her way from St. Paul to her home at Westfield.

Rev. Bender, District Superintendent, of Eau Claire will be here Thursday evening to hold the third quarterly conference and he will also preach.

Mrs. J. S. Damon spent a few days with her daughter, Mrs. J. R. Kuehnau, at Unity returning Monday with her granddaughter, Miss Genevieve Acherman, who went up to visit over Sunday.
