Ludwig, Sarah (Milles) (25 JAN 1916 - 22 APR 2017)

Sarah Ludwig, age 101, passed away in Jacksonville, Fla. on April 22, 2017.

Sarah was born in Rockford, Ill. on Jan. 25, 1916 to the late George and Barbara Barsdus Milles. Her family moved to Medford in 1919. She graduated from Medford High School in 1934. She married Franklin Ludwig on April 28, 1936 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford and they farmed for 40 years in the Town of Little Black.

They retired in 1978, moved to Abbotsford and opened Sarah’s Antique Shop. There they operated the shop until retiring in 1987. Franklin died on Dec. 10, 2008. They had been married for 72 years.

Sarah is survived by five children, Nadine (Block), David, Lynda (Long), Barbara (Schmidt) and Lin; ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Sarah was pre-deceased by two sisters, two brothers and a daughter-in-law, Serpil (Lin).

The Family wishes to thank their mother's Wisconsin friends, the staff at Atria at San Pablo Senior Living and NE Florida Community Hospice for their support.

A private family memorial will be held at later date.
