The Village of Unity has a unique business which opened recently. What had been an old Skelly Oil Station, operated by Ray Binning and closed for the past eight years, is now a self-service gas station, indoor car wash, and laundromat.

The property, right on Highway 13, was recently purchased by the Unity Building Company in April of this year and completely remodeled, opening for business on May 26th, 1972.

Cashiers at the completely self-service filling station, car wash and laundromat are Barbara Wisniewski, Betty Fischer, and Lynn Witte. Inside the station, in addition to the cashier's counter, are ten Maytag washers, four gas dryers, and an automatic dry cleaning machine, capable of cleaning ten pounds of clothes at one time.

The interior of the station is completely carpeted, including the walls.

The station will sell Union 76 gasoline and will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
