James Batchelor, principal of Loyal High School, has announced the honor students of the 1972 graduating class at Loyal High School.

Following are the names of the top ten percent of Loyal, along with their plans for the coming year and their activities through high school. The names are listed in alphabetical order:

Barbara Babich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Babich, Loyal, is planning to attend Kenosha Tech to become a court reporter. Through high school Barbara has been active in GAA, FHA, Photo Club, Student Council, and is on the annual staff. She also has been employed at the Tribune-Record-Gleaner for two years.

Lois Bielen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alois Bielen, plans to attend the University of Wisconsin, La Cross, where she plans to major in psychology. Lois has been active through high school in GAA, FHA, Library Club, and was the Spanish Club Secretary.

Debbie Bloom, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Bloom, RFD 1, Loyal, will be attending college at Platteville next year, and is planning on majoring in languages. Debbie has been active in GAA, Student Council, Spanish Club, and has been honored for Laird Youth Congress, Badger Girls State, Elks Award for science, Betty Crocker Award, and the American Legion Scholastic Award.

Karin Cooke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Cooke, RFD 1, Loyal, will enter the University of Wisconsin, Superior this fall, majoring in speech correction. Karin has been the president of her junior class and of Student Council, and has been active in choir, drama and forensics.

Corinne Demuth, daughter of Mrs. Ada Demuth, Loyal, will attend college at La Crosse in the fall and will major in Physical education. Corinne has been involved in Letterman's Club, forensics, GAA, Annual staff, FHA, band, and cheerleading.

Robert Knecht, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Knecht, RFD 1, Unity, will be studying computer programming at Minneapolis. Robert has been in FFA, was the FFA secretary, was on the Junior Board of Directors for Clark Electric and was a FFA public speaking winner during high school.

Kathy Rowley, daughter of Mr. and Daryl Rowley, RFD 1, Loyal, plans to attend Wausau Tech for education as an operating room assistant. Kathy has been active in GAA, Spanish Club, chorus, and is on the annual staff.

Judy Shafer, who lives with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Paun, RFD 1, Granton, plans to be employed as a secretary at Land-O-Lakes at Spencer after graduation. Judy has been active in FHA, forensics, and has been an assistant secretary at school.

Mike Ziegeweld, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ziegeweld, Loyal, plans to attend the U of W in Madison, where he will study pre-med. Mike has been active in forensics, drama, Photo Club, Letterman's Club, Spanish Club, athletics, and is on the annual staff and Student Council. He is senior class president and has been honored at the Elks banquet and has participated in the Laird Youth Congress.

Debbie Bloom, Barbara Babich, and Mike Ziegeweld will speak at the graduation ceremonies.
