Rick Bartsch accompanied the other members of the Ski Club of Marshfield
University Center on a weekend ski trip to Powderhorn and White Cap ski areas in
northern Wisconsin. They returned home Sunday evening.
Tuesday evening was Parent's Night for members of the Granton High School
Wrestling Team and the Cheerleaders. Mothers of the squad were presented with
carnation corsages, and the fathers were given Bulldog emblems. Their coach is
Mr. Steven Nelson.
On Monday, January 31, Mrs. Flossie Schmidtke accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Arlen
Castner of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Freedlund of Sherwood Township, and
Mrs. and Mrs. Charles Schwanebeck, also of Sherwood, to Hancock for the funeral
of an uncle, Delbert Holmes. He was 86 years old.
On Friday evening Mr. Steven Nelson drove his aunt, Mrs. Jack Crothers, to River
Falls on business. They also visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lambert Nelson of
River Falls, returning on Sunday.
On Friday evening, February 4, parents of the Basketball Team and squad of
Granton High School will be honored at Parents' Night. This will be the last
regularly scheduled home game. Edgar will be their opponent.
The Granton Women's Civic Club will meet at the home of Mrs. Jack Crothers on
Monday evening, February 7. Mrs. Francis Steiner is a in charge of the program.
