A number of Clark County 4-H members have received recognition for their 1969 4-H work. The group is led by four members who were selected as achievement winners for their overall outstanding work. They are: Joan Rakovec of Willard 4-H Club, Sherry Stigen of Pine Valley 4-H Club, Jon Krasselt of the Y-Knots Kids 4-H Club, and David Gaddis of the Longwood Center 4-H Club.

Jon Krasselt has been a 4-H member for seven years and has been an outstanding 4-H member in woodworking, junior leadership and in swine. He has been very active in the activities that his group has conducted. Jon is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Krasselt, route 2, Spencer.

Joan Rakovec of the Willard 4-H Club has been an active member in that club for the past six years. Joan has also been very active in county older youth activities, and of course, activities within her local club. She has been an outstanding member in knitting, clothing, and especially junior leadership. Joan is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Rakovec, route 2, Greenwood.

Sherry Stigen of the Pine Valley 4-H Club has been a member of that club for six years. Sherry is very active in high school activities, and also in activities conducted by her club. Her major projects have been clothing, knitting and junior leadership. She has received recognition as an outstanding clothing member. Previously, Sherry represented Clark County at the Wisconsin State 4-H Band that participated in the State 4-H Club Congress program at Madison, and at the Wisconsin State Fair. Sherry at present is student at the Thorp High School, and she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Stigen, route 1, Withee.

Dave Gaddis has been a 4-H member for the last seven years and has been a very outstanding 4-H member in the diary project. Dave’s work in the dairy project has been involved with registered Ayrshire cattle. He has also received recognition as being named the 5th place overall senior showman at the Wisconsin State Fair in August. Dave has also been very active in crops and junior leadership projects. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Art Gaddis, route 2, Owen.
