Hubbard, Clinton (24 FEB 1882 – 6 FEB 1969)

Funeral services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Goodrich Funeral Chapel for Clinton Hubbard, 86. The Rev. Matthew Malmar, chaplain at the hospital in Durand, officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Mr. Hubbard died Thursday at St. Benedict Nursing Home, after several months of failing health. Born February 24, 1882 in the town of Peru, Dunn County, Wis., he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Newton Hubbard. The former Mary Young and Mr. Hubbard were married in 1904 at Durand.

A lifelong resident of the Durand area, he served on the city police force, operated a milk route, conducted a dray line and served as city councilman. In recent years he was custodian at Security National Bank.

Surviving ar ea son, Lloyd, of Wabasha, Minn.; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. There also are a brother, Bert Hubbard of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and two sisters, Mrs. John (Nora) McGuire of Durand and Mrs. John (Mabel) Misfeldt of Thorp. Preceding Mr. Hubbard in death were his wife and a brother.
