Krueger, Richard A. “Rick” (1 APR 1950 - 8 JAN 2017)
Richard A. “Rick” Krueger, age 66 of Ashland passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017,
at Essentia Health-Saint Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, Minn.
Rick was born April 1, 1950, in Milwaukee, the son of Henry and Audrey (Loos)
Krueger.
He was a U.S. Army, Vietnam veteran. On Sept. 17, 1977, he was united in
marriage to Linda M. Kraft in Brookfield.
He was a talented carpenter who could build or fix anything. He and his wife,
Linda, were the proud former owners of the Frosted Mug in Colby. He loved the
game of billiards, hunting, fishing and gardening. He enjoyed the outdoors and
was an avid woodsman.
Survivors include his wife, Linda, of Ashland; a daughter, Kim (Kurt) Bruesewitz
of Eau Claire; a son, Rick, Jr. of Ashland; grandchildren, Kaleb, Mason and
Hadley “Bug”; two brothers, Scott Krueger of Delafield and Steve (Lynn) Lundborg
of Elmwood; a sister, Barbara (Bruce) Waters of Hartland; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Keri Wagner.
A celebration of Rick’s life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017,
at the AmericInn of Ashland with Rev. Paul Simmons presiding. Military honors
under the auspices of the United Chequamegon Area veterans will immediately
follow the service. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1 p.m. on
Saturday at the AmericInn in Ashland and continue until the hour of service.
Interment will be private.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mountain Funeral Home and
Cremation Services of Ashland and Mellen.
