Hardrath, Dorthaleen (5 DEC 1924 – 22 JAN 2017)

Dorthaleen Hardrath, age 92, of Green Grove, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center in Owen. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. Rev. Donald Bruce will officiate. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Town of Hixon. Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Dorthaleen was born on December 5, 1924, the daughter of Elmer and Lulu (Gulso) Edwards in the Town of Green Grove. She was united in marriage to Harold Hardrath on August 31, 1949. He preceded her in death on October 3, 2009. Together they farmed in the Town of Green Grove.

Dorthaleen lived most of her life in Green Grove and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Green Grove. She liked to play cards and enjoyed dancing.

Dorthaleen is survived by her two children: Luanne Schwarze of Unity and Glen Hardrath of Owen; seven grandchildren: Penny Cloud, Eric Schwarze (Tania Grisham), Joy (Cory) Heeg, Travis (Pam) Hardrath, Troy (Luci) Hardrath, Tyler Hardrath and Heather (Cory) Brockel; 10 great-grandchildren: Ethan, Bridget and Brooke Cloud, Sookie and Aurora Heeg, Bryher Schwarze, Cadyn, Kyler, Ryan and Zoreyna Hardrath. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Jean Romang of Medford; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; five brothers and sisters and a son-in-law, Vern Schwarze.
