Baldeschwiler, Marjorie (31 AUG 1968)

Miss Marjorie Baldeschwiler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Baldeschwiler, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Dr. Michael Harrington, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Harrington, Greenbelt, Maryland, on Saturday, August 31, 1968 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Thorp. Rev. Francis Brockman performed the 11:30 a.m. single ring marriage ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white silk organza with scoop neckline, empire bodice, short sleeves, A-line skirt and cathedral detachable train. Alencon lace was detailed on the front of the bodice, waist in back, sleeves and train. Her elbow length silk illusion veil was held by a crown of Chantilly with pearl trim, and she carried a bouquet of white roses, stephanotis and ivy.

Joan Baldeschwiler was her sister's maid of honor, and Janet Baldeschwiler, also the bride's sister, was bridesmaid. They wore gowns made of white and orange brocaded cotton, fashioned in floor length, A-line skirt, low double breasted back with gathers and button closing.

Eric Harrington was his brother's best man, and groomsman was Allen Sondgeroth, the bride's cousin. Ushers were Leo Baldeschwiler, the bride's brother, and Leo Sondgeroth, cousin of the bride.

A dinner immediately followed at St. Bernard's Church Hall, with a reception from 1 – 5 p.m. at the bride's home.

The bride attended Thorp High School and St. Joseph's School of Nursing, Marshfield, and has been employed at Denver Hospital, Denver, Colorado. The groom attended Oregon State University and University of Colorado Medical School and is now employed as a Medical Doctor at Sacramento, California.

After a wedding trip to California, they will make their home at 769 Carro Dr., Sacramento, California.
