Ardith M. Domine, 84, Loyal, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, at
Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse. Funeral services will be held at
11 a.m., on Friday, Jan. 6, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. Rev. Steve
Brice will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. There

Ardith Marie Wolfe was born on Oct. 6, 1932, in the town of Beaver, rural Loyal.
She was raised on the family farm and received her education in the town of
Beaver, graduating from Loyal High School in 1950. Ardith was united in marriage
on July 1, 1953, to Edward J. Domine Jr. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in
Loyal. They moved to Milwaukee where she worked as a beautician and was a
volunteer at the Children’s Hospital. In 1963, they purchased the Ever Breeze
Resort on Pike Lake, near Park Falls, which they operated until 1968. They sold
the resort and moved back to Loyal, so Ardith could be a full-time mother. They
continued to reside in Loyal until moving to Marshfield in 2014 and then to La
Crosse to live with their granddaughter, Ashley, in October 2016. Ardith had
many interests, but especially loved spending time with her family, doing
volunteer work, traveling, playing cards, bingo, and going to the casino. She
was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and its PCCW.
Ardith will be dearly missed by her granddaughter: Ashley (Orey) Eckes and their
two children, Easton and Dekker Eckes, of La Crosse; two brothers: Robert
(Laura) Wolfe of Colby, and Ronald Wolfe of Loyal; three nieces: Rachel Wolfe of
Colby, Kayla (Damon) Pieper of Colby, and Nancy (Rod) Delo of Loyal; one nephew:
Jason (Melissa) Wolfe of Plover; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband, Ed, on Nov. 19, 2016; one
daughter: Tracy R. Domine, on May 8, 2008; and three brothers: Verlyn, Tom and
Richard Wolfe.
