Griepentrog, Barbara Jean (7 JUN 1969)

Miss Barbara Jean Griepentrog, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Gripentrog of Unity, and James Lee Paschke, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Paschke Sr. of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in marriage June 7 at 1:30 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. Rev. William Ruhbusch officiated. Mrs. Arnold Bruesewitz was the organist and Mrs. Karen Hanson sang for the ceremony.

Miss Dorothy Gripentrog, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Diane Griepentrog of Unity, Mrs. Ruth Pashcke of Abbotsford, and Miss Judith Greenwald of Spencer.

Alan Griepentrog attended as best man. Groomsmen were Roger Griepentrog of Unity, John Paschke Jr. of Greenwood, Gus Paschke of Abbotsford, and Roger Wellman of Colby.

The ushers were Randy Paschke and Ricky Ertl.

The bride wore a floor length gown of rose point lace with ruffles around the neckline and sleeves. A detachable Watteau train flowed from the waistline and a bouffant veil billowed from a forward headpiece of lace and borealis crystal. She carried a bouquet of white daisies and apricot roses.

The bride's attendants wore apricot colored A-line gowns with white organdy ruffles around the neckline and down the back of the skirt. They had matching veils and carried yellow daisies.

After the wedding the couple attended a reception at the Spencer Municipal Hall, ate supper at Trinity Lutheran Church, and attended a dance at the Spencer Municipal Hall.

Following a wedding trip to the Black Hills in South Dakota, the couple will be at home in Owen, Wis.

The bride is a 1967 graduate of Colby High School and is working at Weyerhaeuser. The groom is a 1967 graduate of Loyal High School and is farming.
