Viegut, Gail (31 MAY 1969)

The former Gail Viegut, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Viegut of Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.), and Duane Underwood, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Underwood of Abbotsford were joined in marriage at a 1:30 p.m. ceremony at St. Peter's Lutheran Church on May 31, 1969, by Rev. F.H. Sprengler.

The maid of honor was Delores Viegut, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Verlyn (Judy) Wittlinger of Abbotsford and Miss Brigitte Bernt of Abbotsford. The best man was Vern Wittlinger, and the groomsmen were Verlyn Wittlinger and Virgil Underwood, both of Abbotsford. Ushers were Darrell Underwood and Jeffrey Viegut.

The bride was attired in a sh..? empire gown of chantilace with an overskirt of organza. She wore a three tier bouffant veil of organza with a bow topped by a flower with lace petals. She carried a bouquet of Amazon lilies and stephanotis.

The bride's attendants wore floor length gowns of turquoise chiffon over taffeta, with scoop necklines and puff sleeves. The empire waist was of Venice lace and chiffon. The four tiered veil was of organza petals with satin flowers. They carried bouquets of aqua and white daisies.

The organist and singer were Mrs. Punke and Mr. Ewan, both of Athens.

Following the wedding a reception was held at the Abbotsford City Hall, and a supper was also held at the church parlors. That evening the wedding dance was held at Trianon Ballroom.

The couple plans to reside in Dorchester following their wedding trip to northern Wisconsin.
