Krause, Marie C. (Schueller) (10 NOV 1929 - 22 AUG 2011)

Marie C. Krause, 81, Edgar, died Monday, August 22, 2011 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon on Friday, August 26, 2011 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. Rev. Robert Streveler will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.

She was born November 10, 1929 in Milan, daughter of the late Louis and Clara (Braun) Schueller. On September 16, 1950, she married John Edward Krause at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1978.

Marie worked for the former Badger Basket Company, Edgar, Marathon Cheese Corp. and worked on the family farm alongside her husband, John, for many years. She was an active member of St. John Catholic Church, Edgar, a member of the Circle of Joy and a member of the Joan of Arc Group. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed playing cards, bingo, puzzles and sewing. She made many quilts and hand crafted bunnies for her family. Marie had a great sense of humor that will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include, two daughters, Georgine (Gary) Hughes, Oostburg and Louise (Robert) Rajek, Wausau; seven sons, David (Sue) Krause, Edgar, Daniel Krause, Edgar, Virgil (Shirley) Krause, Sheboygan, Joseph (Gail) Krause, Edgar, Donald (Caroline) Krause, Edgar, Kelly Krause, Green Bay and Richard (Robin) Krause, Wausau; 20 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; three brothers, George (Delores) Schueller, Edgar, Oliver (Helen) Schueller, Athens and Lawrence "Butch" (Sandra) Schueller, Edgar; three sisters, Dorothy Schueller, Edgar, Agnes Adamski, Edgar and Virginia (Ronald) Heidmann, Edgar; two sisters-in-law, Alice Krause, Weston and Elizabeth Krause, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, John, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Aloise and Victor Schueller; and one infant brother.

Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Allison House, Marathon for the wonderful care and support given to Marie over the past few years.
