Knetter, Glen R. (23 MAR 1956 - 9 OCT 2012)

Glen R. Knetter, 56, Edgar, died Friday, October 5, 2012 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

The memorial mass will be celebrated at Noon on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, town of Cassel. Rev. Barnabas Kyeah will preside.

Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.

He was born March 23, 1956 in Wausau, son of the late John and Martha (Brzezinski) Knetter. On June 20, 1975, he married Rebecca Bargender at St. John Catholic Church, Wuertzburg. She survives.

Glen worked as a dairy farmer and devoted his life to his family and farm. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed hunting, making maple syrup and homemade sausage, and being outdoors. Glen was a very social person and was always ready to help anyone in need.

Survivors include, his wife, Beckie Knetter, Edgar; three children, Travis (Gina) Knetter, Justin (Louise) Knetter and Morgan (Mitchell) Mueller, all of Edgar; eight grandchildren, Austin, Ethan, Tegan, Erica, Cole, Jorja, Callie, Paxton and Baby Brennan on the way; eight siblings, Violet Stockheimer, Mosinee, Darlene Regele, Marshfield, Helen Stockheimer, Marshfield, Patricia (Butch) Weber, West Allis, Carole Knetter, Marshfield, Emily (Dennis) Kaiser, Edgar, David (Cindy) Knetter, Stratford and Myron (Carol) Knetter, Edgar; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Beth Bargender, Edgar; nine brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Alvin Knetter and two brothers-in-law, Tony and Joe Stockheimer.
