Stoughton, Ellen (Hoffmann) (16 OCT 1923 - 13 AUG 2012)

Ellen Stoughton, 88, Athens, died Monday, August 13, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Christ United Church, Athens. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Milan. Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.

She was born October 16, 1923 in the town of Johnson, daughter of the late Paul and Pauline (Bredow) Hoffmann. On June 17, 1944 she married Donald Stoughton in the town of Johnson. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Shirley Rieck, Nelson, and Linda Bergman (Myron Grassl) Edgar; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brother, Alfred Hoffmann, Stratford, and other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Pearl Mader, and grandson, Tim Rieck.
