Mrs. August Buchholz was dismissed from the Stanley Hospital last Tuesday and is now a resident at the Havenet Nursing Home in Owen.

A miscellaneous shower in honor of Sharon Kuegler and David Pierce was held at the Albert Schultz home on Monday afternoon. They will be married Saturday, September 2nd at two o'clock. The afternoon was spent socially and many lovely gifts were received, after which refreshments and a lunch were served.

Mrs. Carla Lien, Eda Ostenson and Mrs. Anna Tonn were Friday evening guests at the home of Mrs. Fred Rahn.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Niemi of Minneapolis were Saturday guests at the home of John Pukkila.

Mrs. Cornel Erickson and Kerry and Kevin Schumacher spent four days last week with Cornel Erickson at the Veteran's Hospital at Madison.

Mrs. Martha Harmel returned to her home Saturday from Taylor, where she spent a week at the Ole Gilbertson home. She was accompanied here by her brother, Gunvel Gilbertson, of Columbus, Ohio, who is a guest at her home now.

Mrs. Helen Luedtke returned home Monday after visiting with relatives in the Marathon area the past three weeks.

Mrs. Jacob Johnson and Janine Schiszik accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Myron Brecke and family to Kaukauna last week, where they spent several days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Schaus. Linda Schaus, who had been a guest at the Earl Schiszik home, returned to her home with them.

The Huehnerfuss family reunion was held Sunday, August 27 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Augustine. About 60 relatives attended, including Helen Luedtke, Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Huehnerfuss, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Huehnerfuss, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Zarnke and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wunch and children, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Huehnerfuss and family, Mr. and Mrs. Delos Roeder, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marks, Mrs. Viola Howard, all of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Ruesch, Merrill; Mr. and Mrs. Herb Utteck and son Jim, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Borchardt and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hantke, Marathon, and the Delmar Augustine family. Refreshments, dinner and supper were served.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Matthias of Ashland and Mr. and Mrs. Carl D. Matthias, Norfolk, Va., who ahd been guests at the home of their mother, Mrs. F.H. Matthias, returned to their homes on Thursday.

Mrs. Les Bowen, Mrs. Louis Schulz of Colby, and the Bowen grandchildren, Dawn, Page and Tanna Myre of Tomahawk, spent a week on an outing at the Bowen cottage at Lake Isadore.

Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Krueger and son of Muscatine, Iowa, spent the weekend at the C.W. Geary home.

Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Geary and Dorothy attended a picnic at the Owen Park on Sunday in observance of the 80th birthday of the latter's mother, Mrs. Grace Nicks. Relatives and friends attended from Curtiss, Dorchester, Withee, Stanley, Markesan, Waupaca, Owen, Neenah and Menasha; West Liberty, Muscatine and Letts, Iowa. Dinner, lunch and refreshments were served and a very enjoyable day was spent by everyone present.

Franklin and Donald Kaut, Mrs. Pearl Vorland and Mrs. Ernest Boss attended funeral services for their aunt, Mrs. Emma Pagel at Chilton Ebenezer Reformed Church on Wednesday, August 23.
