Bangle, Barbara J. (12 AUG 1967)

On Saturday, August 12, 1967, the wedding of Miss Barbara J. Bangle and Lawrence DeLong took place at the Nazareth Lutheran Church at Withee. The Rev. H.W. Luetkehoelter performed the two o'clock wedding. During the ceremony Misses Kathy and Marilyn Maki sang "O Perfect Love."

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin J. Bangle, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald E. DeLong, also of Owen.

When escorted to the altar by her father, the bride was attired in a floor length gown of Chantilly lace fashioned with long tapered sleeves and sculpture neckline etched with sequins. Ruffled tiers of lace encircled the bouffant skirt, which was highlighted by a removable overskirt sweeping into a chapel train. Her bouffant veil was secured to a Swedish crown of pearls accented with crystal. The bridal bouquet was made up of pink cymbidium orchids and miniature pink roses accented with ivy.

Miss Carol Mattingly of Medford was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Patricia Brunner of Sheboygan and Mrs. Robert Couillard of Medford.

Attending the groom as best man was James Bangle, brother of the bride, from Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota, and groomsmen were Rod Couillard, Medford, and Keith Brunner, Sheboygan. Ushers were George Wilson and James Utteck of Owen.

Following the wedding a reception was held at the church hall with a dinner and dance that evening at the American Legion Hall in Owen.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of Owen-Withee High School. The bride was with the Class of 1963 and the groom in 1966. The bride has been employed at the Vogue Beauty Salon in Owen, while the groom is presently stationed witht eh United States Air Force at McGuire AFB, New Jersey.

After a honeymoon trip through northern Wisconsin, the newlyweds are at home at No. 7 Applegate Lane, New Egypt, New Jersey.
