Weith, Wallace “Wally” A. (26 APR 1939 - 27 MAR 2007)

Wallace “Wally” A. Weith, 67, Wausau, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at his home, under the care of his family and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

He was born April 26, 1939 in the town of Marathon, son of the late Herman and Freida (Wholt) Weith. On August 23, 1958, he married Geneva Krohn at Our Savior Ev. Lutheran Church, Wausau. She survives.

Wallace farmed in the town of Marathon throughout his life, until retirement and also worked for the former Murray Machinery, Wausau for many years. Among his many interests, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, gardening and playing cards.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Geneva Weith, Wausau; one daughter, Pamela (Jerry) Wagner, Shawano; four sons, Steven (Sue) Weith, Marathon, Scott Weith, Wausau, Danny (Jeanne) Weith, Wausau and Jason (Kelly) Weith, Marathon; three grandchildren, including his “special buddy” Austin; four step-grandchildren; one great granddaughter; five step-great grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce (Robert) Kickbush, Milwaukee and Bethel Weith, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Goebel.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Marathon. Rev. Jon Hadler will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Marathon.

Friends may call Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. There will be a prayer service Friday at 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
