Chili (17 Apr 1919)

Mrs. Coffin went to Eau Claire Sunday morning, returning the same day.

Wayne Waterman arrived home from Camp Grant Tuesday morning, where he received his discharge from U.S. Service. Wayne has been overseas for one year and arrived in New York two weeks ago. He saw several months of fighting in France.

Miss Anna Kampin and Martin Krause were married Tuesday and we wish them many years of happiness.

The Misses Elsie and Mary Kampin were Marshfield visitors between trains Wednesday.

Mrs. Lucas Allen and little daughter went to Neillsville Wednesday.

Willie Schmidke arrived home from overseas Wednesday. He had been at the front in France.

Mrs. H.H. Henning and Miss Liza Henning went to Marshfield Wednesday.

Last Saturday at about 5:30 p.m. in some unknown manner the gasoline hot water heater in Tom Gibson’s barber shop caught fire and almost instantly the whole shop was in flames. But by the quick response of the people the building was saved, but the interior of the shop was totally destroyed.
