Michlig, Anna (Petrowski) (26 JUL 1918 - 6 JAN 2010)

Anna Michlig, 91, Marathon, died Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Wausau.

She was born July 26, 1918 in town of Emmet, daughter of the late John and Pauline (Wentland) Petrowski. On August 20, 1935 she married Julius Michlig at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, town of Cassel. He preceded her in death on December 8, 1993.

Anna farmed with her husband for 27 years in Cassel and then moved to Marathon City. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, gardening, flowers and especially spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Arvin (Caroline) Michlig, Marathon, Diane (Roger) Burant, Franklin, Delaine Vetter, Stratford and Dale (Charlene) Michlig, Rothschild; nine grandchildren, Marilyn (Gene) Lang, Pamela (Jason) Guralski, Greg (Stacy) Michlig, Dan (Carrie) Kulas, Chad (Dianne) Vetter, Brian (Christy) Vetter, Keith (Angela) Michlig, Paul (special friend Ashley Holl) Michlig and Nicole Michlig; five step-grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mary Michlig, Edgar and Frances Petrowski, Racine.

Besides her parents and husband, Julius, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Richard Vetter, four sisters and three brothers.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.

Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon, is in charge of arrangements.
