Bielen, Beverly Ann (21 AUG 1971)

Nuptial ceremonies were held at 3:00 p.m., August 21, 1971, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, uniting Beverly Ann Bielen, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), and Paul Michael Pettis, Neillsville, in marriage.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alois Bielen, route 1, Loyal, was given in marriage by her father to the sonof Mr. and Mrs. Pal W. Pettis, route 2, Neillsville.

Father Norbert King officiated at the ceremony with Rodon Denk at the organ, Jeff Denk with guitar, while the Denk family sang.

The bride was dressed in a gown of sheer organza Venice lace with a high neckline, triple puffed Juliet sleeves, and a cathedral length mantilla. She carried a simple bouquet of pink roses.

Miss Lois Bielen, Loyal, was the maid of honor, with Mrs. Pat Strangfeld, Nekoosa, Mrs. Mary Dick, Neillsville, and Miss Susan Bielen, Loyal, as bridesmaids.

Each wore a deep blue nylon sheer frock dress with a scooped neckline, puffed sleeves with its waistline accented with green satin ribbon and daisies. Large braid hats with streamer trim were worn. They carried baskets of white daisies.

Miss Karen Rieaselmann, Salem, Wisconsin, and Mr. Paul Bielen, Loyal, were the miniature bride and groom.

Mr. Juel Dean Pettis, Roberts, was the best man, with Mr. Arnold Strangfeld, Nekoosa, Mr. Dan Dick, Neillsville, and Mrs. David Bielen as the groomsmen.

Rodney Pettis and Verl Zaltrow Jr. were the ushers.

After the ceremony and dinner at St. Anthony's Church, a dance was held at the Silver Dome, Neillsville.

The new bride graduated May 1967 from St. Mary's Academy, Prairie du Chien, and in July 1971 from North Central Technical Institute as a graduate nurse. The groom graduated in 1963 from Neillsville High School and is a metal worker at Black River Camper, Loyal.
