Talso, Vaino J. (14 APR 1913 - 14 JUL 1976)
Vaino J. Talso, 63, Route 3, Greenwood, was found dead at his brother’s farm,
Town of Longwood, about 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 14. According to Clark County
authorities, death was due to an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Talso had pastured his cattle at the farm, and it is believed that he suffered the attack while getting the cows for milking Tuesday evening. He wasn’t discovered until Wednesday by his brother, Rudy.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Longwood with the Rev. Lloyd Yaggie, Pastor of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee, officiating. Burial was made in Withee Riverside Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Carl Maninen, Ed Bucheger, Dennis Bucheger, Harold Sorensen, John Wagener and Clayton Braun.
Mr. Talso was born April 14, 1913, in the Town of Longwood. He married the former Evelyn Twait on June 25, 1955 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Longwood. He was a veteran of World War ll, serving with the U. S. Navy in the South Pacific. He farmed in the Town of Longwood since 1946.
His wife died Oct. 4, 1973.
Survivors include four brothers, Rudy, Route 3, Greenwood, Toivo, Waukegan, Ill., Ralph, Garibaldi, Ore., and Elmer, State of Washington and a sister, Miss Alice Talso, Oak Park, Illinois.
