Borchardt, Esther J. (Werner) (2 JUN 1910 - 19 FEB 2005)

Esther J. Borchardt, 94, formerly of Edgar, died Saturday, February 19, 2005 at Colonial Manor Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.

She was born June 2, 1910 in the town of Wien, daughter of the late Frank and Ella (Kragenbrink) Werner. On August 23, 1930, she married Alfred Borchardt at St. John Lutheran Church, town of Wien. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1998.

Esther was a former member of the Tip-Top Women’s Homemakers club and enjoyed cooking, baking and doing craftwork. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church Altar Guild, Ladies Aid and sang in the church choir.

Survivors include one daughter, Audrey (Gerald) Fellbaum, Wausau; one son, Dewaine Borchardt and special friend: Bernice Clark, Brillion; six grandchildren, Kim (Paul) Gorski, Kenneth (Karen) Borchardt, Dale (June) Borchardt, Sandy (Wayne) Ott, Dean Borchardt and Scott (Lynn) Borchardt; 11 great grandchildren; two brothers, Ervin Werner, Wausau and Hilbert (Marion) Werner, Stratford; special niece, Ruth (Wilfred) Hall, Edgar.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Werner; daughter-in-law, Elaine (Voigt) Borchardt; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren.

The funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2005 at St. John Lutheran Church, town of Wien. Rev. Jeff Tarras will officiate. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, town of Wien. Friends may call from Noon Monday unit the time of services at the church.

The family would like to thank the staff at Colonial Manor Medical & Rehabilitation Center for their care, concern, and kindness for Esther. The staff truly made Esther feel at home.
