If you ever go into the Farmers' Store, you have very likely met Bill Webb. He is the general manager of the store. He seems to be rather on the quiet side, but once you strike up a conversation with him, he become very interesting.

He was born in Durand, Wis., where he attended grade school and high school. After graduation, he was in the Army until 1958.

In 1960 he married his wife Elaine, who was formerly from Gilmanton, Wis. They now have one daughter, Beth Marie, who is 2 1/2 years old.

Bill has had a wide experience in the management of stores. He started out stocking shelves in a drug store, and then became a part time clerk. After finishing his service duties in 1958, he was employed in the Farmer's Store at Mendota. In 1960 he worked at the Neillsville Farmers' Store and from there, went to Osseo Farmers' Store. He is now the manager of the Greenwood member of that chain of stores.

When asked about the most exciting thing that ever happened to him, he thought that traveling in Europe filled the order.

He has no definite future plans.

His hobbies are those typical of many men, bowling and fishing.

He belongs to the Chamber of Commerce and likes Greenwood's people, because they always seem friendly. He also likes his job of general manager because he likes working with and for the public.
