Korntved, Fern Ann (21 MAR 1964)
A 1 o'clock marriage ceremony was solemnized Saturday afternoon, March 21, 1964, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greenwood, where marriage vows were exchanged by Miss Fern Ann Korntved and Milton John Fitzl.
Parents of the newlyweds are Mr. and Mrs. Peter Korntved and John Fitz, all of route 2, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.). Mr. Korntved presented his daughter in marriage.
Officiating at the nuptial rites was the Rev. Arvid Myhrwold, with Mrs. Myhrwold the soloist for the ceremony and Miss Margie Dyre providing appropriate nuptial music. White gladioli adorned the church altar.
The bride was seen in a white entrained floor length gown and a bridal headpiece, to which was secured her bouffant veil. She carried red roses and white orange blossoms.
Attending the bride were her aides, Miss Diane Schultze, the maid of honor, and Miss Beverly Fitzl, the bridesmaid, both of route 2, Greenwood.
They donned pink street length frocks and carried pink and white carnations. Jana Barr and Randy Truchinski were the flower girl and ring bearer, respectively.
Serving as best man was Richard Fitzl, Greenwood; Robert Schoengarth of Neillsville being the groomsman, and Judy Thomas and Diane Fitzl, the usherettes.
Lunch was served in the church basement at 4 p.m. and that evening there was a wedding dance at the Neillsville American Legion Hall, beginning at 9 o'clock.
The bride will graduate this year from Greenwood High School. Her husband farms a tract of land located six miles west and south of Greenwood.
