Miss Donna Neuhaus, daughter of Henry J. Neuhaus of Genoa City, and Darwin Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Nelson of rural Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in marriage on Saturday, June 15, 1968, at Peace Evangelical United Church of Christ, Dorchester.
The Rev. Joseph Jeide, Medford, officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony. Mrs. Jerome Rankl was the organist and Mrs. Donald Albrecht sang "O Promise Me."
The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a floor length gown of satin and Chantilly lace. The A-line skirt had a panel of lace down the front and was completed in the back by a Watteau panel of lace and nylon sheer attached at the shoulders. A bouffant illusion veil was secured to a crown edged with seed pearls.
The maid of honor was Miss Loretta Neuhaus of Genoa City, and bridesmaids were Miss Darla Nelson of Dorchester and Miss Susan Schultz of Abbotsford. They were seen attired in yellow fitted floor length dresses with empire waists and long sleeves. The dresses were rayon with chiffon overskirts and each had a train in the back. They carried bouquets of yellow roses and white carnations.
Darrel Nelson of Curtiss was best man, and groomsmen were Jerry Schultz of Abbotsford and Russell Nelson of Curtiss.
The flower girl was Connie Holden of Genoa City.
Performing the ushering duties were Randy Nelson of Curtiss and Allen Schultz of Abbotsford.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Curtiss fire hall. Supper was served at the church hall, and the evening was spent dancing at the Curtiss fire hall.
The bride was a 1965 graduate of the Colby High School and was employed by the Post Company of Owen. The groom is employed by the Soo Line.
Guests came from Richmond, Ill., Genoa City, Minnesota, Colby, Lake Geneva, Marshfield, Spencer, Abbotsford, Dorchester, Owen, Curtiss, Chippewa Galls, Medford, Stevens Point and Auburndale.
