On a western wedding trip are newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Francis Noeldner, who were married at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 1963, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Greenwood, by the Rev. Orval Egbert.
The bride, the former Miss Barbara Ann Wehrman, daughter of Mrs. Erna Wehrman, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), was given in marriage by her brother, Arthur Wehrman of Loyal, to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Noeldner, Loyal.
Mrs. Alvin Albert played nuptial music and the Rev. Alden Moldenhauer sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "Wedding Prayer." Baskets of yellow and white chrysanthemums adorned the church altar.
The bride selected a full length bouffant gown of French imported rosepoint lace and tulle over bridal taffeta. It was styled with a scalloped Sabrina neckline with sequins, fitted bodice, and a skirt which was a cascade of tiers of lace, the skirt back extending into a sweep train.
For her head she chose a brilliant wedding cake crown of pearls and borealis crystals enhanced by a bouffant cloud veil. Red tea roses and stephanotis comprised the bridal bouquet.
Preceding the bride into the church were her attendants, Miss Carol Severson, Milwaukee, the maid of honor,a nd Miss Judy Wehrman and Miss Eleanor Noeldner, both of Loyal, as bridesmaids.
They donned royal blue full length gowns of crystal peau de soie fashioned with rounded necklines, bodices made with cummerbund effect, and skirts having modified fullness. Completing the gown at the back were matching Watteau panels of royal blue. Their headpieces were royal blue pillboxes of peau de soie trimmed with a single bow at the back and completed with matching veiling.
Each aide carried an arrangement of white pompons and yellow tea roses.
Terri Lynn Brown was the miniature bride and was dressed as a replica of the bride. Her flowers also were similar. Randy Noeldner was the ring bearer.
Performing the duties of best man was Nathan Noeldner, Loyal, while Harry Johnson, Greenwood, and Eugene Wehrman, Menomonee Falls, were the groomsmen. Ushers were Bud Borwn, Greenwood, and Kenneth Voss, Loyal.
The wedding reception was held at the Charles Suda home, the supper was served in the church dining room, and that evening there was a dance at the Silver Done Ballroom.
Wedding guests came from Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn.; Evanston, Ill., and Lancaster, Blanchardville, Alma, Milwaukee, Marshfield, Mayville, Theresa, Eau Claire, Waupaca, Neillsville, Colby, Green Bay, Loyal, La Crosse, Sparta, Menomonee Falls and Greenwood.
The bride is a 1963 graduate of Greenwood High School and her husband, who is engaged in construction work, was graduated from Loyal High School in 1958.
Greenwood will be the home of the newlyweds.
