Kopp, Suzie Jane (11 MAY 1968)

Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Schmitt are now at home at 1908 Estes, Chicago.

The marriage of Miss Suzie Jane Kopp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kopp, route 1, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), and Timothy Schmitt, Arpin, took place Saturday, May 11, 1968, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby. The bride was presented in marriage by her father, and the Rev. John Pinion officiated at the one o'clock nuptial mass, during which marriage vows were exchanged in a double ring ceremony.

Attendants at the wedding were Mrs. Dennis Hansen of Peru, Indiana, and Randy Kocian of Unity, as honor couple; Mrs. Duane Ludwig and Mrs. James Hoffman, both of Colby, and Dave Barts and Arden Peterson, both of Abbotsford, as bridesmaids and groomsmen, respectively. Julie Ludwig was florer girl and Alan Schmitt was ring bearer.

Duane Ludwig and Linus Schmitt seated the guests at the wedding.

For the ceremony, the bride appeared in a gown of organza over faille taffeta with peau d'ange lace, designed with empire waist and A-line skirt with appliques of lace. The detachable chapel train was also lace trimmed. Her three tier bouffant cathedral length veil was secured to an organza and lace headpiece embellished with sequins. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses with streamers.

Her attendants were attired in candy pink chiffon gowns with long sleeves and empire waists set off with velvet ribbon and bows. They had matching chiffon floral clustered headpieces and carried pink and white gardenias.

The wedding reception was held at Colby's Tavern and a 4 o'clock supper was served at St. Mary's gymnasium to 150 guests. In the evening a wedding dance was held at the Trianon Ballroom.

Mrs. Schmitt is a 1965 graduate of the Owen-Withee High School and has been working for Zenith at Evanston, Ill. Her husband is an employee of National Die, Chicago, Ill.

Guests attending the wedding were from Chicago, Ill., Peru, Indiana, Colby and Curtiss.
