Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Meyer attended the funeral of her uncle, Mr Joseph Burr, on Thursday at Hewitt.

Guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Bentzler on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bentzler and family, Tigerton, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bentzler and family, Marshfield.

Mr. and Mrs. Warren Tessmer and Damon, Parma, Ohio, are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. John Elsinger and with Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Tessmer, Chili.

Mrs. Reno Herdrich returned home from the hospital on Sunday afternoon.

The Sunshine Birthday Club met on Friday at the home of Mrs. Bert Wengel to celebrate her birthday, which was Saturday.

Miss Phyllis Furman, Larsen, spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Thiesen.

Spending the weekend with Mrs. Anna Catlin were Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Catlin, Tomah, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Catlin and daughter, Eau Claire, and Mrs. Dorothy Schubert, Marshfield.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Feldt, accompanied by Mrs. Florence Haas and Mrs. Mae Bremer, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Roger Feldt over the weekend. They also attended the first communion of Kurt Feldt, which was held at the home of his parents.

Mrs. Peter Davel and Tabatha, Milwaukee, spent several days visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Davel and with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hilber Sr. of Colby.

Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Catlin and family, Chippewa Falls, visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Catlin and Mrs. Ada Demuth.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Meyer attended the 95th birthday anniversary of her mother, Mrs. Clara Burr, which was held Wednesday at the Memorial Home at Neillsville. Also present were Mr. Lorell Burr and Mrs. Anton Drexler, Stratford.

Phil Thiesen, Madison, visited over the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William A. Thiesen.

Word has been received that Floyd Smith, a former Loyal resident, is in an intensive care unit in a Sumner, Washington hospital suffering from a heart attack.
