Shanks, John (Found Sane – 9 Feb 1919)

Judge Charles Gilman of Friendship presided at the re-hearing in the matter of the sanity of John Shanks of Greenwood on Monday. The case was heard by a jury composed of Robt. Kurth, John Dwyer, H.E. Bartell, H.E. Korman and P.M. Bronstad. The jury decided that Mr. Shanks was sane and he was released. E.W. Crosby was attorney for Mr. Shanks. Dr. Mason was here from Marshfield as a witness in the case, which has attracted more or less attention here and at Greenwood for some weeks.
