Reil, Cameron (May Junior Kiwanian - 2016)

Cameron Reil

With the end of the 2015-1016 school year, the Neillsville Kiwanis Club welcomed Cameron Reil as its ninth and final Junior Kiwanian of the year. She was introduced to the club by Kiwanian Herman Seebandt at the May 2nd meeting.

Reil is a graduating senior at Neillsville High school and is the daughter of Rich and Bridget Reil. As with the other Junior Kiwanians selected this year, her future looks very promising, and she has helped prepare herself for the challenges of advanced education and beyond by participating in numerous activities and making the most of her high school career.

Academically, Reil is a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society, and has received Academic Letters for three years. She has served on Student Council each year, served as Spanish Club secretary, held a class officer position and is a current member of the yearbook staff. Additionally, Reil has participated in track and field and had been involved in CCD throughout her school years.

In the community, she is very active with volunteering efforts including Week of Hope Mission Trips, Thanksgiving meal assistance, the Big Buddy program, Walk of Hope and helping with Neillsville Recreation Department activities. Reil currently is employed as a teacher in the Stepping Stones Early Learning Center and has worked previously at Shopko Hometown.

This well-motivated student is making plans for the next step in her academic life and will be attending UW-Milwaukee to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education.

The Junior Kiwanian program gives recognition to outstanding students like Cameron who have demonstrated strong academic achievement, shown good leadership qualities and strive to make use of their talents. Through their participation in the junior Kiwanian program, students are provided an introduction to the concept of a service organization such as Kiwanis International, which encourages active participation in the community throughout the lifespan.

The Neillsville club wishes her and the graduating class of 2016 success in their future endeavors.
