This is Homecoming week in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) High School, with all students busy preparing for the big annual Homecoming celebration this coming weekend. The celebration will start on Thursday evening with the pep rally and bonfire. The Homecoming parade will be Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Greenwood Indians will meet their arch rivals, the Loyal Greyhounds, in the Homecoming game Friday evening. Following the game will be the Homecoming Dance with Howie Sturtz and his band providing the music.

Classes and organizations have every available space in town in use to build their floats for the big parade. The Homecoming Queen's court has been picked by the students, who picked a girl from each class. Alice Turnquist, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Turnquist, R. 3, Greenwood, will be in the senior girl in the Queen's Court; Audrey Trybula, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Trybula, R. 1, Willard, is the junior class choice; Ardis Ampe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ampe, Greenwood, is the sophomore member; Shirley Dergance, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Dergance, R. 1, Willard, is the freshman class choice.

The Homecoming King and Queen will be announced at the pep rally and bonfire Thursday night. The Homecoming King is traditionally selected from the football team by the players. He in turn, names the Homecoming Queen.
