Mr. Harold Verhulst, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Verhulst, will be ordained into the Holy Ministry this Sunday, June 12, 1960 at 3:00 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Harold was born and raised in the Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) area, attending the public school. Following graduation from high school, he attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa for four eyars. Upon graduation from Luther, he entered Luther Theological Seminary in St. Paul. He spent one of his four years of theological training on internship at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Aberdeen, S.D. Harold completed his studies at Luther Seminary this spring, and was graduated on May 29th. He has accepted a call to serve as assistant and youth director of a large Lutheran church in Yankton, S.D.

It is not every Christian congregation that has the privilege and honor of seeing one of its sons enter the holy ministry. Our Savior's has now had two, Pastor Norbert Jolivette, who at present is serving a parish in Iowa, and now Harold Verhulst. We are grateful to God that he has seen fit to lead these two men into the role of spiritual shepherds.

The service this Sunday will be a colorful and impressive one. A number of Evangelical Lutheran Church pastor from the area will be present to take part in the service. Pastor Theodore Nelson, a former pastor , who is now serving a congregation in Silver Bay, Minn., will deliver the ordination address. Prof. John Milton of Luther Theological Seminary, will perform the ordination.
