Wissell, Peggy Jo (26 SEP 1970)

St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal was the setting of the wedding of Miss Peggy Jo Wissell, Route 2, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wissell, and Dennis Donald Beaver, Loyal, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Beaver.

Vows were exchanged on September 26, at 1:00 p.m. The ceremony was performed by the Very Reverend Norbert E. King.

The bride was given away by her father. Richard Wissell sang “The Lord’s Prayer,” and Michael Tucker played the organ.

The bride’s gown was of A-line style, with an empire waist of peau de soie with chiffon puffed long sleeves and beaded lace trim. She wore an illusion veil with a headpiece of beaded lace. She carried a cascade of red and white sweetheart roses.

The bride’s maid of honor was Miss Wendy Rayhorn, Loyal, and bridesmaids were Miss Jackie LaBarge, Loyal, Miss Jeanne Wissell, Hebron, Illinois, and Miss Kay Wissell, Loyal.

They wore Royal Blue gowns, with empire waists and long sleeves, with a metallic gold trim. Their flowers were royal blue mums and white pixie carnations.

Miss Shelby Gregory was the miniature bride and the ring bearer was Billy Wissell.

Serving as best man was Duane Poehnelt, Loyal, and groomsmen were Jerry LaBarge, Loyal; Pat Lindner, , Loyal, and Ken Denk, Loyal.

Tim Wissell and Lawrie Beaver served as ushers.

A reception followed the wedding services at the Loyal Fire Hall, and a 4:30 dinner was served in the church basement. A dance was held in the evening at the Spencer Memorial Hall.

The bride is a 1969 graduate of Loyal High School and is employed at Berg Equipment Corp., Marshfield.

The groom is a 1969 graduate of Loyal High School also and is presently employed as a logger.

The couple will make their home at Kilty’s Kountry Kourt, Spencer.
