Edward John Klinke was born on Feb. 27, 1950, in Marshfield, to Alvin J. and Florence M. (nee Bayuk) Klinke. He was raised and received his education in Greenwood, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1969. After completing high school, Ed enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Germany during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Greenwood and went to work at the Neillsville Foundry. Ed later worked as a diesel mechanic in Cumberland before becoming an OTR truck driver, which he did until retiring in 2010 due to health concerns. He had many interests, but especially loved spending time with his family. Ed was very proud of his grandson, Joseph. He also enjoyed fishing, car racing, gardening, helping others, and his dog, Boulder.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Michael; and one niece, Michael’s daughter, Mica.
