Sandberg, Lorraine (11 JUL 1959)

Marriage vows were spoken between Jesse Thwing, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Thwing of Greenwood (Clark Co.), Wisconsin, and Lorraine Sandberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Sandberg of Belview, Minn. last Saturday afternoon, July 11, 1959, at three o'clock at the Clarksfield Alliance Church. Rev. Leon Johnson of Echo and Rev. David Pett officiated.

Clarice Eldred sang "Because" and Rhoda, Marlene and Phillips Nelson sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "In the Hollow of His Hand," during the service.

The bride was attended by her sisters, Mrs. Ralph Fischer of Mankato, and Mrs. Ralph Earl of Sleepy Eye. Both wore blue organza silk dresses.

Mr. Thwing chose Sheldon Nelson of St. Paul and Donald Williams of Redwood Falls as his attendants.

The ushers were Joe Sandberg, brother of the bride, and Phillip Nelson, cousin of the groom

The bride wore a white ballerina length organza silk gown with fingertip veil.

A reception, given by the bride's parents, was held in the church parlors following the service.

The bride graduated from Echo High School, the St. Paul Bible Institute and from the Bethseda Hospital School of Nursing. For the past three years she has been employed at the Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis. She will serve as nurse for the new Nursing Home in Clarksfield, as soon as it opens. Mr. Thwing has worked in the community the past three years, and is now employed at the local tile plant.

After a short honeymoon into the Dakotas, the couple will be at home at Clarksfield, Minnesota.

Mr. and Mrs. David Thwing, Greenwood, attended the wedding.
