Dahl, Lance G. (10 JUN 1956 - 2 MAR 2016)

Lance G. Dahl, age 59, of 619 Williams Court, Medford, was pronounced on Wednesday, March 2 at Charleston, SC while long haul trucking for his work.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 7, at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Medford, with Rev. James Krueger, officiating. Interment will be at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II.

Pallbearers will be his brothers-in-law: Mike, Mark, Larry, David, Dale, Kevin, Kenny, Jamie and Chuckie Peterson.

Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Sunday, March 6 at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford and also at church from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM on Monday, March 7.

Lance was born on June 10, 1956 at Medford. He attended Immanuel Lutheran Day School, Medford and was a 1974 graduate of Medford High School.

He married on August 31, 1974, at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Medford, to Debora K. Peterson.

After his education, he worked at Weather Shield Mfg. for a short period of time. For the past 41 years he has worked at Hurd Millwork (presently known as Sierra Pacific), both in the factory and most of the years over the road long haul trucking. Years ago, he also drove part time for Bauer Trucking, Medford. He enjoyed Nascar Racing, traveling, history & boating. He is a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Medford; Lifetime member of the NRA.

Lance is survived by his wife, Debora “Deb” K. Peterson of Medford; his father, Eudell G. Dahl of Apache Junction, Arizona; his father-in-law Charles Peterson of Dorchester; sister Linda (Mike) Louther of Apache Junction, AZ; several brothers and sisters-in-law, along with several nieces & nephews.

He is predeceased by his mother Harriet J. (Hamm) Dahl in 2010; and his mother-in-law Ruth Peterson in 2014.
