Dells Dam (12 Dec 1918)

There will be no sewing circle this month on account of the flu. Each member is required to give 25c this month and send it to Mrs. George Beeckler on or before the 19th of December. This money is being raised to make up the first payment for adopting a French orphan.

Mrs. John Apfel was called up to Neillsville to help take care of Josephine Rouse, who was seriously ill with the flu and pneumonia. She is much better now and is on the gain.

Mrs. Victor Horton is much better at this writing.

There was no meeting Sunday on account of Pastor Roberts being sick. He is able to be out now.

A Nebraska Indian family has moved into the house known as the Schilling place.

Mr. Durrhammer has moved onto his own place now.

Miss Minnie Murphy has been quite sick for the past week and is not much better at this writing.

Mrs. George Schultz was called to Alma Center last Wednesday by the sickness and death of her daughter, Mrs. George Abend.
