"Southern Serenade" is the theme of this year's Greenwood High School Junior
Prom which will be held Friday night, April 25, 1958. The Juniors have been busy
transforming the gymnasium into a beautiful southern setting that will radiate
southern hospitality . Prom King Jerome Behrens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Behrens, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), has chosen Judy Lamovec, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Lamovec, Willard, as Prom Queen, and together they will reign
over the biggest social event of the school year. The dancers will dance with a
stately southern mansion, rock gardens and roses hedges in the background. Music
will be furnished by Howie Sturtz and his popular orchestra. Of course, everyone
is invited to attend this beautiful event.
The junior class prom committee that has been working so hard with other class
members on the elaborate decorations consists of Jane Lindner, JoAnn Arch, John
Staut, Lester Conklin, Rita Syth, William Gregorich, Dorothy Krultz and Dick
Scherer. The punch committee consists of Alice Turnquist, Bonnie Johnson, and
Mary Ann Snedic. Publicity committee is Dorth Krultz and Mary Ann Snedic. Sharon
Braatz and Carol Syth make up the ticket committee. Mary Ann and Marilyn
Haunschild are the invitation committee. Coat check committee includes Rita Syth
and Judy Martens.
