Durst, Aaron Mitchell (23 June 1993 - 10 November 2015)

Aaron Mitchell Durst, 22, passed away at his home Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015. Aaron was born June 23, 1993, in Neillsville to Melanie Lueck.

Aaron attended elementary school in Neillsville. Aaron and his family then moved to Merrillan where he continued in middle school and high school in Alma Center; Aaron was crowned prom king his junior year and he graduated in 2011. Aaron’s life passion was skateboarding. He competed in many competitions around the area and always did very well. He loved teaching kids how to ride, but most of all, he loved teaching his son how to skate. His son Ryder quickly picked up on his passion and enjoys it very much for only being two. He worked at Steve Knoop Trucking in Neillsville and at McDonalds in Black River Falls. Since 2012, Aaron had enjoyed working as an automotive technician alongside his brother and many friends at both Nels Gunderson/Osseo Ford and at Gross Chevy Buick GMC of Black River Falls.

Aaron is survived by his son Ryder Aaron Durst; his mother, Melanie Lueck; his older brother, Zackary (Andrea) Durst; his two younger sisters: LaTasha and Holly Lueck; his girlfriend, Karla Burright; his stepfather, Bradley Lueck; his uncle, Mathew (Michelle) Durst; first cousins, Sam and Jacob; grandparents, Ken Durst and Melinda Sanders and Betty Durst and Gordan Beyer; his Godparents, Betsy Lewitzke and Bunny Dux and numerous great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and many friends and family.

Aaron was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Ivan and Gertrude Durst and Rayfield and Pearl Hess, and a second cousin.

A celebration of life for Aaron was held Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church, 114 S. Summit Street, Alma Center. The service was officiated by Ken Jordan and Pastor Carl Bauchspiess. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.

Aaron’s family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers and kind words. They would like to say a special thanks to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, the Hixton First Responders, Ken Jordan and his family, Pastor Carl and the Assembly of God and the Cremation Society of Wisconsin (Altoona).

If anyone wishes to contact the family, any cards can be sent to 200 Circle Drive, Hixton. Also Aaron’s Facebook page will be a memorial for anyone wishing to share pictures and stores.
