Boris, Delores C. (Zettler) (5 AUG 1918 - 18 JUL 2002)

Delores C. Boris, 83, Edgar, died Thursday, July 18, 2002, at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Delores was born August 5, 1918 in Athens, daughter of the late Frank & Josephine (Kautzer) Zettler. She married Peter Boris September 22, 1934, at St. John Catholic Church in Wuertzburg.
He preceded her in death May 16, 1978.

Delores farmed in the town of Reitbrock with her husband Peter. She was a devoted mother and housewife. She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Christian Mothers in Edgar.

Needlepoint, flower gardening and playing cards with her grandchildren and friends at Heidi Apartments, Edgar were among her favorite things to do. Her family will always cherish the memory of Delores baking breads and sweets.

Survivors include 13 children, James (Joyce) Boris, Casa Grande, AZ., Beverly (George) Kremsreiter, Tomahawk, Ervin “Butch” (Beverly) Boris, Milan, Kathleen “Kitty” (Ed) Lehman, Edgar, Maedelle “Mitz” (Rodney) Erickson, Racine, Dwight (special friend, Mary) Boris, McMinnville, Oregon, Peter (Margaret) Boris, Jr., Chandler, AZ., Raymond (Charlotte) Boris, Queen Creek, AZ., Charlene “Chuck” (Russell) Janke, Athens; Linda Leitzke, West Bend, Karen (Jim) Sparke, Warsaw, Indiana, Michael (Renee) Boris, Fredonia; Richard (Char) Boris, Wausau; 47 grandchildren, 89 great grandchildren, one brother, Frank “Pat” Zettler, Athens.

Besides her husband Peter, and her parents, Delores was preceded in death by six brothers, Melvin, William, Alton, Ervin, Martin and Arnold Zettler, and four sisters, Viola Pecher, Irene Maurer, Marcella Radtke and Bernice Calmes; one grandson, Dwight Boris, Jr. and one great granddaughter, Angel Boris.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Monday at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. The Rev. Bernard Raschke will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday from 3-7 p.m. and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services all at the Church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the memorial fund at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar.
